Fyrinnae Swatches (x4)

I have a lot of work ahead of me, as I plan to have all my Fyrinnae swatches up some time or another. I have a few swatched and ready, but there are just so many!

For the meantime, here are four shades.

First is Bastet. I received this as a free sample from one of three orders I made with Fyrinnae. I can't believe I didn't order a mini version of this before!

From Fyrinnae: "Deep, velvety black with gold sparkle."

Second is Rapunzel Had Extensions.

From Fyrinnae: "Pale pink with a stunning brilliant light gold highlight."

Third is Damn Paladins.

From Fyrinnae: "Soft, satiny taupe with a gentle light blue highlight."

Finally, here is Calavera Cupcakes:

From Fyrinnae: "Glimmering metallic silver topped with pink sprinkles."

Swatches:

In the above picture, I applied a line of Pixie Epoxy and swiped the shadows perpendicular to the line. This shows just why PE is so important with these kinds of shadows. As you can see in the third shade, satiny shades do not require PE. An eyeshadow primer will be enough for satin and matte shades.

Gorgeous, right? Indeed. I can't even say I have a favorite of these. They are just so...amazing. Rapunzel had Extensions is pretty amazing...it's kind of like a duochrome with the pink and gold. Damn Paladins is so unique! I have never seen a taupe with a light blue sheen to it. The black and gold Bastet speaks for itself for me. Can't wait until the next Saints game! :)

How do you like these shades? Not bad for $2 each, right? Let me know what you think!

Black Radiance Eyeshadow Mini Haul (x4)

Everybody loves a good sale, including me. When I got off of work today, I wandered into the Rite Aid down the street from my house and caught some single eyeshadows from Black Radiance on clearance for $0.99! They were regular $3.99. Also, I bought a eyeshadow quad that was regular $4.99, on clearance for $1.24! What a steal. I already bought a single awhile back (in "Pink Parfait"), and I loved it! I wasn't sure about the formula of the quad, so that's why I only bought one. I should have bought them all.

Here are the shadows and their packaging:

And here are the swatches! I applied these over Too Faced Shadow Insurance (original).

Clockwise, from top left: Blue Icing, Silver Frosting, Rum Spice, and Mint Julep.

In my opinion, these run a bit sheer even with primer. However, I think they can be used as a highlight on the brow bone, in the inner corners of the eye, etc. I really like them. Most of the shadows I have come full-force with pigmentation, so it will be fun to work with something a bit sheer I think. Mint Julep was my favorite because it reminded me of an antique gold.

The "Deep Tapestry" eyeshadow quad, though, is a totally different story! Here is the packaging:

And here are the swatches!

I love it, especially the third swatched color (which is the shade on the top right of the quad). It was the butteriest and smoothest of them all, but all of these colors are beautiful!

How do you like these shadows? Can you see yourself creating looks with these?

*NEW* Fyrinnae Eyeshadow Swatches March 2012 (x4)

So I log onto Fyrinnae's website the other night and what do I see? Glorious, glorious new eyeshadow shades! A gold, a blue, a red and a green! I am a serious sucker for Fyrinnae, as I own almost 40 of their eyeshadows. I only order the sample sizes though, because they are so generous for only $2 a pop. I could never use more than what they give me of one color!

I will have plenty more swatches to come of the other shades I have, but for now here are the new shades!

First, Shenanigans:

From Fyrinnae: "Rich metallic gold over a dark base (like Medieval Haunting but the gold is not as dark) filled with multi-color sparkle."

Next is Lorem Ipsum:

From Fyrinnae: "Deep shimmery blue, slightly subdued and lighter than navy, enhanced with lime green sparkle."

Then comes *You're:

From Fyrinnae: "This shade is a bright shimmery warm red filled with multi-color sparkle, much like Immortality."

Finally, here is Callipygian

From Fyrinnae: "Vibrant Kelly/emerald green on black (appears navy in the jar). Great over regular primer, but over a sticky base it's a gleaming jeweltone metallic green."

Beautiful in the jar, right? Well, they are beautiful swatched as well! I can't wait to use these in my looks! Here are the swatches. In the first photo, all are over a thin layer of Pixie Epoxy. In the second photo, I applied a line of Pixie Epoxy and then swatched each color through the line so you could see just how much the PE brings out the color and holds onto the sparkles in each shade.

In the above picture, I applied a streak of Pixie Epoxy and then swatched the shadows through it so you could see how much of a difference PE makes.

My personal favorite would have to be Shenanigans, just because it swatches well over PE and by itself. They are all equally gorgeous though!

In case you were wondering what the odd names mean, "callipygian" means (according to Miriam-Webster) "having shapely buttocks" (LOL!), "Lorem Ipsum" has to do with graphics on a webpage, and the "*You're" I am assuming is a correction of the wrong use of the word. I love original names! The guys over at Fyrinnae have such a great sense of humor.

Hope you guys enjoy! What do you think of the new shades?

NYX Round Lipsticks Swatches + Photos (x6)

I know I am getting this blog off to a slow start, but I am currently shopping for a new digital camera. My boyfriend broke my only working camera on Mardi Gras Day when he was drunk, so I guess this is my chance to get a more high-end one!

Anyway, here are just a few swatches of some NYX Round Lipsticks I purchased awhile back from a seller on eBay:

Since I am a sucker for pale pinks, I would have to say that Strawberry Milk was my favorite, however it does have a ton of slip and applies kind of streaky. B-52 is a little too dark for my liking and Orange Soda just looked strange on me. Pumpkin Pie is a gorgeous nude, Femme pulled more red than orange on me, and Celene is rather sheer but definitely something I could see myself wearing.

Well, that's all for today, I think. Hopefully with time, I will be able to put more of what I already have on my computer on here for y'all to see.
